Hello! Welcome to the online home of Works InMaterial.

My name is Carole Wright. I am a sculptor living and working in Ely, Cambridgeshire. I use material to create handmade fabric sculptures suitable for both home and garden. Each sculpture is made using a fabric hardener making them completely weatherproof, even able to withstand severe frosts. All sculptures are unique and have their own individual character. I am often asked where I get my inspiration. I find that although I may have some idea as to the size and type of sculpture I am about to make, they seem to take on their own personality as I make them.

I hope you get as much pleasure looking at my sculptures as I do from making them.
